I kind of like to sit back and let it unfold then take my move.

I have a friend who will just kind of pound away at you with full force untill you slip up and just keep it coming.

I almost beat him too except I did not see something.

I need an opening play.

Please keep in mind that I am pretty good but have not played seriously since 4th grade (I am a 9th grade) so rusty does not even being ot describe it.
Which is why I did not see the thing that could have beaten him.

Links would be much apreciated.

the game has four white and green boards that have little holes like a peg board. The playing pieces are knights and archers and things like that. I know it was around in the 80s, and I think the title starts with an F. If anyone has any ideas of what the name is that would be great.

Me and my friends recently got big into board games. We found out we like risk alot but it is a bit too simple. My friend suggested axis and allies but it is a bit too much, just too complicated and single turns take too long. Now I played some futuristic version of risk, like Risk 2038 or something like that and I had a really good time. So I decided to looks and see what other types of risk there are, welp there is ALOT. Everything from "Lord of the Rings" to Transformers. I am looking online but I have a hard time finding any ratings and I don’t want to buy a version that stinks. I was just wondering what are your favorite versions of Risk (and a brief explanation why)?

P.S. If there is a Risk like game you would like to recommend feel free.

I am told there is this Suzan Polgar Chess Tournament exclusively for women. As we all believe that women are no less intellectually gifted than men I do not understand why there should be a separate tournament for a board game which only depends on mind power. I am also told that women have different ratings and rules for achieving Masters and Grandmasters. Why?

(I would love to own the older "Trouble" games...I loved the board design!! I grew up on the older version!)

What about you,and what intrigues you about the ones that you like and why?
Extra questions...if you want to answer all of them, that is great...or pick a few and answer, that is fine as well!
Do you happen to have any older board games and which ones , if so?
My mother has hers..one of them is one that we kids would play it is called "Mr. Bug goes to Town."
I think it is a great game...nothing too fancy, but, it is fun!!

And,last..have you ever made a game or game pieces, and if you have what was/is the game? Did it work really well?
and if you could make up some board games, what type of game would you love to make and why?
also, game pieces...anybody collect or love to make and what are the themes for the game pieces and games and what pieces do you just like to either collect or make, for a hobby?

thanks alot!!
