Pressman Toys already make a board game and a card game based on the series. Neither is worth buying unless you find them really cheaply or don't want to bother making the game from scratch. Having said that there are two ways to calculate the banker's offer: total the value of the remaining cases and offer 40% of that value or make a offer about halfway between the value of the top third and bottom two-thirds of the remaining briefcases. Don't forget to round up to the nearest thousand dollars.

So, best answer or no best answer?

I recorded a few games to try to work it out. I didn't get an exact formula. However when I took an average of the remaining values the bankers offer was always slightly lower than that. It appears as though the banker is trying to save a little by offering slightly less than the players would win -- on average -- if they continued.
So if you calculate the average of the remaining values and deduct something in the neighbourhood of 5%, rounding off to a nice neat number, that might work for you.
Have fun with that.

According to a report I read, there is no set percentage of the remaining amounts the banker uses. Just try to make up an amount that would seem reasonable. Set the amount low at the beginning so your friends will continue to play.

I have never noticed a specific patter to how he calculates. It seems to me he offers enough they may be willing to take less that whats left. Usually when my husband and I watch it we can guess what his offer is going to be. NOt exactly but within the range. So you could probably just wing it if you will be realistic.
