The one I am looking for is a rich sauce with fennel as one of the spices. Probably a southern Italy recipe.

I know that I can use oak or cedar, so I wonder if redwood will give off any taste or smell. I am of course planning to season the plank before using it. I am mostly concerned so it does not effect the edibility of the food.
Thanks.

Hi, I'm looking for a really excellent recipe for authentic beef tacos. Anyone can copy and paste from a recipe web site, and I can look those up myself, so I'm not looking for that. I want something that you have used yourself and can vouch for, or maybe a recipe that has been used in your family for a long time.

Thanks!

I went to a Japanese restaurant near Chicago and the chef brought a bowl with this yellow mouse-like mixture. He spooned some of this mixture on the grill while he prepared lobster and beef teppankayi for us. It was so good! I think it had some eggs or just egg yolks in it.

Everytime I visit the UK, I am forced to go to a Burger King or chow a curry. I can't choose any of the English dishes as they are tasteless and boring. Why is the English cuisine this way? Nothing worse than a cottage pie (with all kinds of guts and veins in it) with a flat beer.

Eric thinks that someone will have an answer for this immediately. I'm considering doing a joke in England that hinges on the audience being familiar with this food item.

I have tried to make mexican rice and it turns out right how the recipe tells, but its not the rice im trying to make. In restaurants and in homes where my mexican friends will be cooking i notice they make like a really dry rice thats almost white or light tan in colour?? I know its not mexican rice becuase using any kind of tomato puree or whatever doesnt make it very dry or the color or taste im looking for. Anyone have any ideas on what kind of rice im talking about?
