These are not the potstickers or dumplings that you find in chinese food restraunts. I'm talking about the bread with I think.. bean paste on the inside. Do you know how to make these? I heard I need rice flour for it. Where can I buy that?

I'm from Ohio, so I'm more familiar in picking out other fruit and vegetables. I have heard that size doesn't neccesarily mean a bountiful pomegranate, but what is it that one looks for?

I have some Kimchi and it has been sitting in my fridge for awhile(a few months). It smells normal and looks normal, but I don't want to just eat it without knowing if it's spoiled or not. I was planning to eat it with rice. Could someone please respond soon...the Kimchi is looking mighty tasty right about now.lol.

I have a rice cooker and I know how to make rice... Is sushi rice the same as regular rice?
I also have rice vinegar... I'm not too sure about how/when to add that.
Kombu... is it even necessary?
Wooden sushi barrel? What?

All these crazy sushi books I bought have their own variations on the topic. But I just want to know the easiest, simplest, quickest way to make sushi rice... and have it not be crappy.

I tried it once and it was too slippery and slimey and.. yea. It didn't work very well when I tried flipping the nori over (so that the rice would on the outside of the roll)... Maybe there's something wrong w/ the seaweed? It seemed to be really flimsy and tore easily..

Argh, i thought making sushi would be easy!

I vaguely remember something about having to put a cube of animal fat inside to cook properly? I'm not in love with the idea of lard cubes is it ok to skip that, i'm going to fry/grill them in a pan.

I have looked everywhere for this, but can't find it. Hopefully somebody knows what I am talking about!

In India (and Indian restaurants) they generally serve candied fennel seeds in lieu of dinner mints. I would like to make this, but I'm not really sure how. Also, I know that sometimes there are also anise seeds in there as well; are there other additions I could make?
