I've tried so many different indian dishes, everyone i have ends up tasting like a bowl of slop, every mouthful has the same taste, to the point where a quarter of a way through it i have to really force myself to finish it, i have indian friends who have introduced me to plenty of dishes, i;ve travelled alot and havent found any other food so bland. Even a boring english roast has real variety not one bland taste. so why is it so popular in the uk???????

I want to learn thisThai dessert. It is like jelly but is not agar agar. It is made in the shapes of the caterpillars and transparent. It is quite chewy. Friend told me it is 'krong kang" in Thai language.
It is served in coconut cream, syrup and shaved ice.
Any Thai nationals willing to share this recipe?

Green, red, and Yellow Bell peppers, pound of flower, seasame (seed) oil, an Onion or two, 8 ounces of pinapple, a bit of saffola oil (like two cups), broccoli, sweet-n-sour sauce. Oh yeah, is it ok to cook with sesame seed oil or is there too much fat in it?

This snack is more popular than popcorn at theaters in India. It looks like some kind of puffed dish.

I would like to make home made empanadas, Does anyone have an authentic recipe maybe passed down from their mom or grandma? I know some people make them with meat inside but I would like a recipe with sweet potatoe or pumpkin.

Thanks

There is this little asian buffet (China somethin or other, it's not a chain). Anyhow they serve these puffy dougnut rolls. They aren't labeled, and I haven't bothered to ask anyone there cause they can barely speak english. I don't know if they're technically a "doughnut", But they are fried round balls of dough, about the size of your fist, they are very light and fluffy, coated in sugar. Very tasty, I just want to know what they are!!! :)

Anyone know what these might be?

Does anyone out there agree with me that the seaweed salad you get at Japanese restaurants (usually served in a sesame dressing) is absolutely disgusting & tastes the way bloated dead bodies at low tide smell? I cannot eat this stuff. I've tried many times & just can't get passed the low-tide taste. Ugh. I have to spit it out every time & usually start gagging. I can't possibly be the only person who feels this way! Let me hear you!

Does anyone have a really good recipe handed down like from generation to generation that is sooo good. Also if you know how to make green rice. Or enchiladas...really good. Any great seasoning ideas for both. Thanks oh and please don't send me to sites where I can find them myself..I want them from people who actually have tried their own recipes.
