what are they? i hope they're not fish eggs cuz i dont know if i can continue eating them if they are, though they seem pretty tasteless.

As a vegan, I really hate telling you this, but those are fish eggs.

Those are fish eggs (flying fish eggs or tobiko). If you have eaten these in the past there's no reason for you not to eat those in the future. These "small orange balls" are good!! So, continue eating California rolls.

Masago. Smelt or FLying fish eggs. So yes fish eggs. They are salted and dyed too. I like them.
