I know a gal who was a missionary in China... she said if it moves, they eat it. Cats, dogs, rats, snakes, bugs, you name it.

I don't eat the meat at Chinese restaurants. I'm sorry but the chicken don't taste like real chicken. So hmmm... that makes me wonder. I don't know what type of meat they use cuz I only eat the vegetables. After I saw this Chinese dude stick a rat in some boiling water, that just disgusted me so I just eat the vegetables from now on. I ain't blaming every restaurant for what one man did but I just don't like to eat the meat. The meat is just disgusting to me.

no we do not. things we might use in curry: beef, fish, fish head, chicken.
the Chinese practically eat anything that moves - that much is true. you have snake flesh, snake blood, snake gall bladder, bear paw, chicken legs, tutrtles... I haven't eaten any of those I've mentioned though.
about dogs and cats, Singaporean Chinese don't eat them. I know the mainland Chinese eat dogs (sometimes - it's not very common) and cats (quite rarely actually).

My friend from the Philippians said that they never had pets because if they got out they would likely be part of someone's dinner cats or dogs( this actually happened to one of her dogs before they quit keeping pets). My former neighbor claims to have eaten cats when he was in Vietnam.

It's illegal here in the united states, but in other poor countries to where food is a luxuary, you will eat whatever you can to survive. (edited and added to finish point).
People in India would say that eating hamburger is the most disgusting and vile thing anyone can do.
I say, to each his or her own.

I don't know about cats but horse meat is delicious. It is too bad it is illegal here in the states cause I would eat horse meat again.

Oh my goodness .. i surely can not imagine this as a cat and animal lover. It turns me off my mongolian "lamb?". Bring on the vegetarian tucker.
