Light red!
But the ones that grow on my parents' garden, not some crap they imported from godknowswhere when they were still green!

It depends...I live in Italy. The dark red ones are used to make tomato sauces, and the light reddish-green ones are used for salads. Although I prefer cherry tomatoes for my salads.

I like sun-ripened red tomatoes, not the ones grown in green houses with chemicals. When they grow under the sun naturally, all types are delicious.

I love the medium sized red ones that have the point on the bottom of them.... are they called teardrop tomatoes? Anyhoo, they are the best for making sauce ar bruschetta or just eating with a drizzle of olive oil!

Both - depending on how they're being eaten! Dark red for sauces, lighter ones for salads or roasting. But best ones come from home grown.
