I'm thinking of making Soda bread for St. Patricks Day with corned beef, cabage, small potatoes, potato soup with bacon in it for the holiday Sunday for my family. I'm also thinking of making a traditional ruhbar tart as well or scones possibly with some bailey's or some irish creamed coffee. Does this sound good?

Also my boyfriend hates cabage with a passion, if he had everything the soup, bread and potaotes without the corned beef and cabage, do you think he'd have enough to eat during supper?

It's our last French class on Friday, and we all have to take a typical dish in from our country of origin. I am from England, but I can't think of anything typically English which can be eaten cold!

Can anyone help?

I heard you can put a peeled potatoe in, and it will absorb some of the spice, true? I have it one in the chili, so I guess we'll see. Anything else I can try?
