I have tried a few Indian dishes and I liked them. Apparently they have a rich cuisine. However, since I'm a Turkish Cypriot I should say Turkish cuisine. It is one of the richest in the world because it has encountered so many different cultures and blended with them all. Someone said Indians take a veggie and make different meals of it. Well, in Turkey they make at least forty different dishes with eggplants (aubergines). They are all delicious. I suggest you try "imam bayildi", "karniyarik", and "hunkar begendi". These are delicious aubergine dishes. As for gyros, it is the Greek name for Turkish "doner kebap".
As for deserts, I think Turkish baklava tops them all, with all due respect to Turkish milk puddings.
