there is an 80 carat gemstone with it?....only problem i have with this is i have seen aquamarines that sell for $150 for a 4 carat so that would make an 80 carat about $3100 right?....they cant say its rare because unless they are only selling one of these then anyone who is willing to pay the price will have one....your thoughts on the stone, not the dessert.

I went to the Chinese buffet last night and ate something that I thought was Dim Sum. I took a bite of it and it seemed like beef rather than pork. I don't eat beef. It might have been called "Shao" something....I remember an "S". Does anyone know what this was or what was in it?

When I was in Japan and in Europe, they had delicious table grapes that I never see here in the States.

They had seeds in them, but the taste and the texture were so good that it was worth it.

Kind of like Concorde grapes, but sweeter.

Why don't we have grapes like they have in Japan and in Europe?

In my family (we are Islamic) it is okay for us to eat both kosher and halal. Now i understand that halal is when Allah-tallah's words are read on the animal before it is sacrificed but I also know that the Jews don't believe in Allah...
So why is it that its okay for us to eat kosher foods and what makes them so different?

Last time I went for a curry in Glasgow, the poppadums were served with a side order of 'red onions'. This was chopped raw onion in a red sauce. Can anyone give me a recipe for this please. Curry houses here in the south east don't seem to have heard of them.

Before I knew you, I've always played that distant admirer. Your exotic perfume and seeming firery playfullness has always drawn my attention and admiration. Mysterious, complex, and foriegn to me; I was a hesistant man. After such a long time together, I know you are the one for me. My body burns for you as you fill me with your firery life. And always afterwards I fall into slumber with a warm feeling in my stomach and the remains of your spicy kiss on my lips. "Indian Food" I love you baby. Would you please marry me?

Do you ever just want to run into a fast food place and order something besides a fish sandwich. I know that in bigger cities you can but in most places there is no Halal meat.

writing project and nobody's health is in danger. But I want reasonable, realistic details.

What kind of bacteria are involved in the making of kimchee? Would a person be likely to have gas pains, bloating...? is food poisoning a possibility...?

Serious answers only, please! Thank you.

People come to Y/A and ask for a recipe and get a web site, often without any comment at all. A lot of people are kind enough at least to cut and paste a recipe -- albeit from the web. When I ask, I'm usually looking for a recipe someone's tried or maybe a family recipe or something. Now, answering from the web is fine but it makes me think: did anyone's mother give them a recipe? Does anyone actually cook the recipes they're giving? I like people who make comments about the food, give a home recipe, offer options because they've modified the dish to their tastes, and so forth. When I give one I try to do that.

So, does anyone here pull out a recipe from a file box, or look up the recipe they use in their own cookbooks? Is this all web work? 'Cause I can do the web work myself!!!
