its got a firm bright pink skin, which u cant eat, inside is the consistency of watermelon except it white with little black hard seeds all through it, very unusual and pretty. THink its asian? Had it in a restaurant once, with lime squeezed over it, was delicious but cant find it anywhere.

South Asian Restaurants outside home tend to play it safe with desserts, staying with the 'tried and true' items like Gulab Jamuns, Rossagullas and Gajar halwa. I have really sweet memories of eating Shrikhand in Maharashtra, Pal Payasam in Kerala, Sira in Karnataka and feeling awed in a Bengali Sweet Shop. What is your favorite?
