Oh. ME! ME! ME! ME ME Me Me Me me me me memememememememememememmemememememememe!
Oh Lawrdy I just LOVE it. My whole family loves it!
I live in Mexico City and there are practically NO Indian people here at all. I have to make it myself and I have to order a lot of ingredients from friends in Canada. (like cardomum, black cumin, Patak's curry pastes and so on)
It just tastes so, delicious. There are SO MANY different type from all over India (and the world, too.) There is Pujabi style, Goan, Pakistani, Bengali, Kashmiri, Madras, Bombay, Rahjestani, West Indian, oh theres so much.
My favorite dishes are Rogan Joosh in the Moghlai style (a red "Madras" type slow cooked with yogurt and ground almonds) Korma, tikka masala, Goan vindaloo, Tandoori chicken, Biriyani, Seehk Kababs, well, I love them all. (Meat Samosa with mint chutney are truly "to die for")
Probably because of religious reasons, nobody on the Earth can make vegetable dishes like the people of India! The dahls are some of the most incredible dishes I have ever had, and there are so many kinds of lentils in India and simply thousands of recipies.
Other vegetable dishes which are great are Alu Ghobi, Sag Panir, Bhurtha, Channa dahl.
There are just fantastic breads from the simple chapati to the Naans and the variety of Parathas.
Deserts like Kulfi, Barfi, Gulab Jamin and Ras Mali.
Oh, there is simply no better food to choose when you want a total "feast" than an Indian meal (Thai and Chinese would be distant 2nd. and 3rd.)
I enjoy making my own, but I always prefer "OPs" (a joke I share with my son, it means "other people's - stuff I don't have to cook myself!) so when I'm visiting a place like Vancouver which has such great Indian restaurants, well, we just "pig out!"
(I think there are even a couple of buffet style places that actually have my picture hanging by the door with a sign, "Watch out for this guy! If he approaches, pull fire alarm!")

I like Indian food. I like the flavor of the curries. I've only had 3 Indian dishes before (My favorite was Chicken Masala, but the other 2 were very good) and from those experiences, I wouldn't mind eating Indian food more often.

Indian food is one of my favorites! I love the nan when it's soft and warm, love the spiciness of the main dishes. My husband and I are pretty adventurous with cooking, and he makes a really good aloo gobi (potato & cauliflower dish). I love to use so many different spices that I don't get to use when I cook American food. I had two Indian roommates the year before I married my husband, and it was GREAT when they would cook!

I love it for lots of reason:
It's different than our usual fare.
It is wonderfully spicy.
You can make it hot or not so hot.
I love the side chutney served with it at authentic restaurants.
I love Pappadom cracker/bread.
I love samosas.
what is there NOT to like. it is magnificent.
