We're looking for a nice japanese restaurant for dinner, here in Chicago. Where's the best japanese food you've had? I like sushi, so it has to be good too. We've tried Bennihana by far, but that's about it. Also, the price has to be reasonable too. Thanks!

I bought a jar of this stuff on a whim. Apparently it's a type of roasted pepper relish from Bulgaria and Macedonia.

It smells yummy and tastes strongly of roasted peppers. Any suggestions as to what to do with it?

I need to know who created the patty (don't all jump and say Tastee or Bruce's or Pete's as I need to know for sure!). Does it come from the English "pasty?" When it was created. How it became so popular. Any links to sites/info and photos would be great! Thanks!

I had a lovely dessert in an Italian restaurant and they said it was 'Italian trifle'. It was covered in meringue and had a strong taste of something....... wine, sherry??

I bought a chicken tikka curry last night and instead of the chicken being all funny shapes like you would expect, the chicken pieces were square and the chicken tasted all rubbery like it was pre-formed stuff?? Has anyone else come accross this and what is it?

Can someone please tell me why is it that when you go to a Chinese Restaurant (UK) you always get a jelly-like, sloppy, goopy, mess infused with bits of meat and veg.

Why do they smother everything in MSG?

My hubby and I went out for Chinese last night, spent £40 and I only ate about 1/8 of my dish (Chicken Chow Mein). It was nothing more than a gelatin goop slopped atop a pile of noodles.

We live in Manchester, anyone know where we might get some really nice, MSG-free food? Something Chinese that is closer to real Chinese food?

I once visited a pizzeria in Rome and ordered a margherita style pizza. It was on very thin crust and cooked in a wood furnace. Does anyone have the recipe for the crust? I can't find it anywhere. Everyone in the US uses the typical "fat crust" or New York style crust.

Any help is greatly appreciated. Molto grazie!
