We're looking for a nice japanese restaurant for dinner, here in Chicago. Where's the best japanese food you've had? I like sushi, so it has to be good too. We've tried Bennihana by far, but that's about it. Also, the price has to be reasonable too. Thanks!

"Hirano" serves authentic Japanese food and, in my opinion, is the best Japanese restaurant in Illinois. (30 min. drive from Chicago to Hirano)

KAMPAI'S is leaps and bounds above Bennihana's. They even have a Sushi Bar. They are located at the corner of Elmhurst and Oakton in I believe Mt. Prospect.

OK...Japanese in Chicago...Nohana Sushi on N. Broadway is very good...there are many others...

Kikuya in Hyde Park is pretty good.

If you venture to the suburbs where I live...The Sushi House in Naperville is outstanding! Also...Momotaro also in Naperville.
