Do you think its odd when one ethnic group cooks the food at a restaurant of a different ethnic group? An example would be that in New York, many Mexican workers make pizza in the pizza places and many Asian people make Tex-Mex.
Does this take away from the authenticity of the food? JUST A QUESTION, I personally dont care as long as it tastes good, but I have heard people make comments about it.

My great grandma makes these cookies ( I am guessing they are german from the name and the fact she is german) They are called Kepfla. I am not sure if I spelled that right. They are about as long as a pinky finger little fat around and are like harder I guess and they have like powdered sugar or something on them. Sorry I don't really know how to explain it but she calls them Kepfla like I said. (again not sure if that is spelled right) But if anyone knows how to make them or even spell it right so I can look it up please let me know. I would call her and ask but she is 93 and can not really hear that good and I don't think she would understand. Thanks.

I have an oral report in spanish class. I have decided that i am going to do it on mexican food. I was wondering if anyone new the history behind the tortia? But I would also like some more Ideas. What other kinds of mexican food should I use? What is your favorite mexican dish and favorite desert. My oral report has to be 10 minutes long and I have to speak in spanish the whole time.
So any other ideas would help as well.
