Yes, the whole East bay, or a good part of it, has a massive amount of Portuguese immigrants. You should be able to find Portuguese food in San Leandro, Hayward, or around there.

Here ya go girlie. Scharffen Berger's Cafe Cacao, 914 Heinz Ave in Berkeley. It's actually a restaurant but it has the pastry. They do lunch and brunch.
