I'm guessing the rampant increase of peanut allergies is causing buffets to remove peanuts from people's reach who may not read signs and go into shock in the dining room.

I get steamed crab legs! Sesame chicken or General Tso's chicken are both good, if you can get to it right when they bring a new pan out. If it's been sitting there, skip it.

ask the ppl who run the buffet. it's served at our local buffet.
i like the happy family, general tsos and stuffed mushrooms
but they change what they serve often so there is always something new!

The beauty of chinese food is it's diversity in ingredients and flavours. Best is to ask the restaurant server their specialty and the taste (sweet, sour, swet and sour, salty, etc) you want.

For me, I will always go for the Sweet and Sour Pork! Hmm...... gotta go. I'm starving! :-b

maybe because so many people have peanut allergies now. I dunno, but it just wasn't popular where you lived so they just got rid of it to save costs. Anway, my favorite thing at a china buffet is not teh main courses it's teh crab meat ragoon!
