I teach French because many people want to learn it, but I also teach Spanish and Japanese. I get frustrated with French books, they’re like a broken record, they all talk about how the French art is the best (I think Japanese and Chinese art are better), how Paris is beautiful (the whole city smells like pee and it’s full of prostitutes), and they talk about how the French food is the finest in the world.
I know French food; I don’t see why is it better than anything else. I see many Chinese restaurants because the food is delicious, there are Japanese steak and sushi houses because they are elegant and have fine eating. American Mexican food is not really Mexican, but they try, and it’s still delicious. I think Italian food is finest in the world, you have the Olive Garden, their food is delicious.

Are the French people dumb, what gave them the idea their food was the best?

Real asian food is not made with sesame seeds or crispy noodles or even orange slices. It bothers me because I think that is alittle sterotypical. A new dish somewhere comes out (a sald, a chicken entree) from a resturant then throw some sesame seeds and now its the new "asian chicken" dish. Being asian it doesnt bother me that much but I always find myself asking "why when they add this is it now an asian dish?". I find myself asking this alot.
Please could someone enlighten me?
