In Taiwan, students like myself like to eat chicken fried steak. It is around $1.50 US dollars. It is filling, tasty, inexpensive, and good on the go.

I live in Taiwan, and here and in China, on the Winter Solstice (yesterday) we traditionally eat a sweet soup to welcome winter. It is called Tangyuan, and it is made with red beans and small glutunious rice balls (tapioca.)
