I could eat Mexican food almost every day, is there something I am missing in my diet that makes me have this crazing? (or is it simply that I love mexican food?)

Hello i'm a hispanic american 27 years old.Since i'm hispanic and i will not give up my culture, I continue eating mexican dishes my mother used to cook.

I've been wondering about this cause if youo mention French food, Italian food, Japanese food , i would know what you mean. But all i can picture when i hear American food, is Fast food.
Part of the reason is I've never seen how other American famillies eat, I don't even have any friends( hispanic or non hispanic)so i have no clue what their home cooking is like.

Anyways, is American food equal to Fast food or is there some traditional American food that White people or other assimilated (people who are not first generation americans) eat and prepare traditionally?

Does anyone remember a boxed dinner, similar to Hamburger Helper, except it was an oriental meal. It was called "Suzi Wan"..I haven't seen it on the shelves in years, it is still made and if so, where can it be found?

I bought a really big can of refried beans and won't be able to use it all at once. Is it possible to freeze the leftovers and not have them turn all nasty after they have been thawed out?

I use to love going to Little Ethiopia when I lived in LA. I use to get the Veggie Platter with that bread you pick it up with. There were like 4 different types of pureed veggies, one was greens, another was yellow and the rest were like a brownish orange mixture. The spices were amazing, I just wouldnt know where to start to make that at home with the bread they use, any experts on this type of food?

I really want to know how to make kimbap since it is so popular and simple. I need to know the ingredients and how to assemble it. Also tell me a little of how to eat this cuisine. Like do you eat kimbap with a knife & fork, or just eat it like a hotdog? Any other great korean dishes to share with me would be appreciated. I'd like some dessert recipes too. Thanks.
