I would also report it to the health department and go to the doctor. If the piece of metal actually punctured your skin, get some blood work done and use a gentle mouthwash to keep it clean. I'm surprised you didn't say anything already, and if you call to complain the next day they may not believe what you're telling them, unless you have some sort of receipt to prove you were there. Also, if you do go to the health department for this, go to your doctor beforehand and ask him/her to write down exactly what they find, just in case.

You should have called attention to it immediately. You are paying them for the service of a meal. I hope you didn't swallow the metal object. If it punctured the roof of your mouth think what else it could puncture on the way out of your body. Not cool and very dangerous. If you didn't swallow it, I hope you at least kept it to show. If it is not to late call the restaurant now and complain and let them know that you will be filing a complaint with the health department. Would you really want anyone else to go through what you went through. If may have been a totally innocent accident but calling their attention to it will alert them to the fact that they should be more observant and careful.

Definately report it. Do you have the metal thing? It may be hard to prove it if you don't but I would give it a shot anyway. This isn't the kind of thing you let slide. Get medical attention as well. This will also help you to prove it but make sure the doctor writes a report for you to take back to the restaurant.

I'm surprised you didn't say something while you were at the restaurant. First, they would have been warned that there was a problem in the kitchen, and second, you would have gotten a free meal.
You could call the health department and make a report.

I would go asap to the health department, get a lawsuit against them, and get the restaurant inspected, it worked for me when a japanese restaurant took me to court at the age of 14 because i complained to them about their food tasting different, like some sort of chemical, and also about hair being in their food....they didn't want others to know....now they are shut down for good...so yes, go do something RIGHT NOW and get off this comp!

You should have notified their manager on the spot. Then you file a serious complaint with the health department. Be sure to keep the sharp object for evidence.

I will report them to a Health firm or the Authority. Some other families with kids will order this, and they may get really sick.
You are responsible to inform authority to take an action, and protect others.
good luck

I had the same thing happen to me. When I bit into the Won Ton there was a belly button ring in the Won Ton. I complained to the owner and he said it was his wife's naval jewelry and he accused me of having an affair with her and removed 4 of my front teeth , with his fist.
I can not stand to bite into another Won Ton now ! I wish I had never seen the Won Ton !

1. you should have kept the "sharp metal thing" as evidence
2. you should have complained immediately to the manager/owner
3. now it's a "you say, they say" affair - no use to complain
