My girlfriend keeps trying to make pad thai noodles and the noodles themselves go all clammy and stick to each other. Is she not using enough oil? Is there a secret technique she hasn't stumbled across? It is making her really upset because normally she is really good at doing recipes first time. She is very pretty.

Okay, so I am going to teach in Korea. One of my main issues is with food. Are there places you can buy American food or Italian food? At markets, can you buy ground beef, steak, chicken? What about spices like pepper, cajun seasonings? Butter? Bread? Flour? If anyone has any facts, please fill me in! Than you!

I know everybody saw a movie or made a joke about the infamous washing dishes fiasco, but is it true? Has anybody ever really had to this? Maybe in the past?

I LOVE Hot & Sour Soup. And especially a certain vegetable that I find in it. I cannot seem to get an answer as to what it is. It is a long, thin, green strip that often has black spots on the outside. It is soooo good! I know it's not bok choy, celery, green onions, bamboo, etc... And I just cannot figure it out! Can anyone help me find out my mysterious ingredient?

This is a dish has been handed down from my mother's family, who came from the northern Germany area know as Pomerania.

In a bowl you combine equal amounts of herring in sour cream sauce and and cream. Set it aside while you boil a large pot of potatoes, preferrably reds. When the potatoes are done, they are drained. Peeling them is optional. A serving is a plateful of potatoes, coarsely mashed, topped with the herring and cream.

We really enjoy this, but have yet to find anyone else who has even heard of serving this dish for a meal. Have you?

I have a large bottle of fish sauce (about the size of a wine bottle) and at the rate that I use it I will probably be able to will it to my children and I'm not that old. What is the average shelf life of fish sauce once it's open and what is the best way to store it?
