Depending on the particular restaurant, chicken with mushrooms should be mild. You might also try chicken with cashews..very tasty and mild. Both are usually in a mild hoisin based sauce, with rice on the side.
Pineapple and banana fritters are mild and sweet, try them.

Next time you have curry, get it from an Indian restaurant. If the menu doesn't tell what is in Chicken with Mushrooms---ask the wait person. I like a variety of Chinese food. For a while Moo Goo Giapan was my standby. Chicken with mushrooms, broccoli, water chestnuts, and other veggies in a mild sauce. Can't ell you about the fritters, haven't tried them.

Chicken curry is not a Chinese dish. Also, China is a BIG country. The cuisine changes from area to area. A bit like Europe, which is smaller than China. Traditionally, Chinese restaurants and take-aways in the UK served Cantonese food (from Canton and Hong Kong), this is quite mild in flavour. However, Szechuan food, from western China is hot and spicy. The pineapple and banana fritter will rarely be found in China. They were invented when the Chinese discovered that Europeans like to finish a meal with a dessert. The Chinese normally finish the meal with soup, made from all the left-overs from the main courses.

Try Thai food instead. If you're lucky enough to have a Thai restaurant locally ask for Gaeng massuman Kai. It's a mild chicken curry that should (if they're really good) have a slightly lavender scent to the sauce. Beef massuman is even better if the meat is chunked rather than sliced. Make your own with a massuman sauce from Sainsbury's.

Ok - Banana Fritters are amazing, and I don't even like Bananas that much. Chicken with Mushroom is in a sauce, get rice additionally. But, really, go for the Crispy Duck Pancakes, or get a lot of starters instead! (as a vegetarian, I really shouldn't be telling you that, but what the hell, eh?)

The basic Chinese sauce is: soy sauce, sherry and ginger (not too much ginger.) That's a pretty mild sauce that lends itself to a lot of meats and vegetables. Not hot at all.
Then if it says "oyster sauce" it has that in (calm down, they mean oyster mushrooms!), and if it says mushrooms, it means just mushrooms...or whatever vegetable.
BTW wary means unsure, weary means tired.

It depends on the take away joint/restaurant. It normally comes in non-spicy sauce. can't you ask for super mild? Explain you have bad reaction to chili and they may do especially mild for you. I like chicken and cashew nuts. Usually comes with a sauce but not in every place. Ask the advice of whoever's cooking.

If you don't like hot - play safe with Chicken Chow Mein, Sweet and Sour or Chicken with Pineapple! Chicken with mushroom is basically as it says...Chicken with Mushroom in a light sauce..nothing hot! You could also try Chicken with cashew - nice.
