it's just our family thing and i was told they are not making food everyone is to bring a dish to pass around like finger food. LAst year i made crab meat roll ups! and roll ups are great but typical. I would like to make something festive and yummy. something that doesn't need to stay warm.. and something that is at least somewhat healthy. I heard of asparagus roll ups but don't those need to stay warm!
just wanted to know if anyone here can help me brainstorm I have a week so that's lots of time!

happy holidays, Merry Christmas, and Happy New Years!

We're having a get-together with friends that is also to celebrate a new baby, and giving baby gifts. The pizza and salad will be from a nice restaurant in town, not a pizza place.... Any ideas.

Hi!
I am hosting a Day After Christmas party for my inlaws side of the family that I won't get to see on Christmas Day. We don't want to do a sit down dinner, we just want to have people help themselves when hungry. We do want more than just appetizers though.

We want to spend the time talking, visiting, and playing board games. Any food suggestions? What would be the easiest to serve?

I also have 2 out of the 15 that are vegetarians, so I will probably be making more than one thing. Got any ideas?

What have you done in the past?

I am thinking of either getting pizza or donuts from Dunkin' Donuts. We have already had a pizza party not that long ago, but the kids really enjoyed it. Ultimately, I am going to have my students vote, but what would you rather have: pizza or donuts?

I want to fill large Chirstmas mugs that I found at Hobby Lobby with cookies for our janitorial staff. How many cookies should I put in and should I put anything else in the mug? If so, what?

If someone sets a table for a formal dinner and doesn't have servants to clear the plates and begin the meal. What do they do? Do they clear it themselves? It seems cumbersome, especially if you have a lot of guests. How do you do it in your own homes?

We're going to a dinner tonight - just us and one other couple and the other couple's home. We always bring wine - and we will tonight as well, but since it's the holidays I'd like to bring something else.

Other than cookies, what should i bring?

I don't have much time to bake, but will if it is super fast.

Brownies, cupcakes, store bought...????

I am looking for a cheap chocolate fondue set for under £10 to get for my sister this christmas. I have seen them on the internet but I would rather go into town and buy one. I live in Nottingham but I'm going to meadow hall in Sheffield tomorrow. Does anyone know a shop that sells one? Thank you to anyone that can help

My fantastic daughter, my adorable son in law and our 2 precious grandsons, 8 & 7 years old, are going to be here for a week and half with us and I am lost, for the first time, in coming up with menu ideas. I know during this time we will be having turkey and ham but beyond that need some suggestions. Usually do not have any problems with this but have had health issues and just can't seem to come up with some ideas to include the boys. Please give me some menu ideas. I want to be able to concentrate on having fun and keeping my attention on all of them without having to be tied to the kitchen while they are here. Maybe some quick menus or even ones that can be prepared ahead and quickly finished up for the meal might be nice. Also some breakfast ideas would be helpful also. Thank you and Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
