my company christmas potluck is tomorrow. i only have one crock pot, and we dont have an oven at work. I have a george foreman grill, too. What can I make to feed 10 people (half of them men) all day long that is inexpensive, homecooked and creative? I need to be able to keep it warm/cold all day. Here is the list of food my other co-workers are bringing:

Meatballs
chicken wings
cheese and cracker tray
cheese dip with tortillas
veggie tray
mastaccioli
italian pasta salad

thanks!

I am cooking a couple of days early for my kids birthday party for about 30 people. But I am unable to decide how do I reheat the food just at the right time cause I will be busy with the guests and we have decorations to do that day, so transferring the food into small dishes and to do microwave seems so elaborate for me.

Any ideas or tips are welcome

Thanks in advance

My sitter backed out at the last minute, and I can't get to the grocery store to get all of the things I needed for a nice spread (party tomorrow). I have to serve between 20-40 people from the hours of 6 p.m. - midnight - but I now have no time to cook (I have two small kids). I am in a panic, but I know someone here can offer suggestions of a quick, bountiful meal or heavy appetizer that is sure to please without too much complication. It's either that or canceling my party!

Please help!

I'm having family over for Christmas Eve, and we'll be drinking wine. I want to do appetizers that go with. I want to do what I call a "french dinner". What I mean by that is great breads, cheeses, olives..etc. Suggestions? Not only on types of bread and cheese, but other items that might be great with this spread. Thanks for answering and Happy Holidays!

It's a regular yellow cake, frosted, with design. 1/4 sheet; weather predicted to be low 31. I picked up the cake from the grocery store about an hour ago. It will go with my son to his daycare tomorrow morning. Anything wrong with just keeping it in the car all night? This would save me time, sanity (don't want my son to see it), and space.

A chocolate pumpkin cheesecake is currently baking in my kitchen. This is for a holiday party at my husband's office. I want to place it on an etched glass serving plate.

Here's my question:

What is the best way to cover the cheesecake during transport? I don't have tupperrware tall enough to accomidate the height without ruining the top of the cake. Any suggestions? (I'm actually counting on Christopher for this one but all would be helpful!) Thanks!

Something good not wierd. lol. Do I just cut the crusts off and then cut the sandwich up in little squares? Sounds like it would work to me, but what do I put on it?

Roast beef tenderloin, peppered ham, Italian Sausage with onions and peppers, steamed, spiced shrimp, lumpia (Filipino spring rolls). Just need an appropriate veggie dish. This is not a sit-down dinner.

Should I prepare food? Should I have dessert? Should I just not prepare any food? Should I tell people to bring $200 for gifts? Should I tell everyone they can't use the bathroom?
