Okay, here are a few suggestions. As far as main dishes go,a nice glazed ham,a turkey,or a nice prime rib roast. Now some traditional side dishes are mashed potatoes with gravy, candied carrots, cranberry sauce, this really yummy casserole that's been in my family for years. It`s 12 baked sweet potatoes,a stick of butter about 3/4 cup brown sugar.Remove potatoes from their skins.Place in a mixing bowl.Add butter and sugar.Mix.Place in a 9x13 casserole dish and top with marshmellows.Bake until marshmellows are browned.Green bean casserole is good too.Twice baked potatoes would be good with the prime rib for a more classy side dish.Home made egg nog is also a must and homemade cookies and deserts.I know it sounds like alot, but I do it almost every year!As long as you plan you can do all of it!Have a Merry Christmas:o)

Assorted breads & desserts but always a pecan pie & pumpkin pie....

meat eater: curry chicken
vegiterian: Caesar salad with grilled pecan nuts

I perfer both. the grilled pecans are awesome. But the curry chicken is a spicy/mild goodness.

CAPELLINI IN GARLIC SAUCE (TRADITIONAL
CHRISTMAS EVE DINNER)

1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. black pepper
1/2 c. olive or vegetable oil
3 cloves garlic
Parsley to taste
2 c. water
1/2 lb. capellini or thin spaghetti

In 1 1/2 quart saucepan brown garlic in oil with salt and pepper. Remove from stove to cool. When cool, add 2 cups of water and parsley. Bring to boil and let simmer 15 to 20 minutes.
Cook capellini al dente. Pour garlic sauce over capellini and serve immediately.

CROWN JEWEL DESSERT (COLORFUL FOR
CHRISTMAS DINNER)

3 oz. pkg. of lime, orange and cherry Jello
3 c. boiling water
1 1/2 c. cold water
1 c. pineapple juice
1 (3 oz.) pkg. lemon juice
1/2 c. cold water
2 c. whipping cream or 4 c. Cool Whip
1 tsp. vanilla
18 whole ladyfingers, separated

Prepare lime, orange and cherry (or any red) Jello, using 1 cup boiling water and 1/2 cup cold water for each. Pour into separate 8x8 inch pans. Chill, until firm. Cut into 1/2 inch cubes. Heat pineapple juice to boiling and add lemon Jello and stir until dissolved, then add the cold water. Chill until syrupy. Line bottom and sides of a 9 inch spring form pan with lady fingers. Whip cream (makes 4 cups when whipped). Add vanilla and fold in lemon Jello. Then fold in Jello cubes and pour in pan.
Chill. Remove sides of pan to serve. Makes 12 servings. Sugar-free Jello may be used, angel or pound cake in place of the ladyfingers. Also, drained crushed pineapple can be added to the cream mixture with lemon Jello. Also 2 envelopes (40 oz. pkg.) Dream Whip dessert topping mix and milk may be used for whipping cream.

CHRISTMAS MORNING BELLS

1 (3 3/4 oz.) box butterscotch pudding mix (dry, not instant)
1/2 c. butter
3/4 tsp. cinnamon
3/4 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. chopped nuts

Arrange frozen rolls in greased tube pan. Sprinkle dry pudding mix over rolls. Cook butter and remaining ingredients over low heat until sugar is dissolved and mixture bubbles; pour over rolls. Cover tightly with foil and let stand on counter top overnight. Next morning, bake at 350 degrees for 3 minutes. Let stand 5 minutes, then invert carefully into serving dish. Take foil off before baking
