I want to fill large Chirstmas mugs that I found at Hobby Lobby with cookies for our janitorial staff. How many cookies should I put in and should I put anything else in the mug? If so, what?

I'd stuff them to the brim. Also (going with the theme,) you might go to a nearby coffee shop or convenience store and get gift cards or certificates each for the price of a large coffee/ hot tea/ milk...probably $2bucks. Slip them in the center of the cookies in the mug.
You can also go to the craft store and get some red and green (whatever would compliment the mugs) transparent wrapping squares and ribbon. Put a mug in the center of a square and pull the wrapping to the top of the mug, tie tight with ribbon and let the excess stick up. (I call it pineapple wrap.) When I wrap gifts this way, I also tie a Christmas ornament ( I like traditional colored glass ball type that come 12 to a box) into the ribbon at the top. Make a "To/From," card, hole punch the corner and tie it to the ribbon at the neck. You can fit more cookies in this way, and it will be easier to carry home. Inexpensive or homemade gifts look extravagant when the wrapping is really creative.

Now that's a great question, personally I would put in enough that they show over the top of the mug, that way it looks like a generous portion.
The actual number of course will depend on the size of the cookies.
Then I would wrap in that cello paper that you can see through, great idea it will make a good gift for the janitorial staff.

I would put 6 cookies in the mug and then if there is more room, fill it the rest of the way with Hershey's kisses. A nice note wishing them a Happy Holiday would also be nice.

Actually I don't think many cookies will fit inside the mug so I vote for attaching a decorative bag to the handle with 6 to 10 cookies in it. 10 if you are a generous person and baking or bought nice ones, six if you aren't spending as much.

To fill up the mug so it looks full and you can always put couple candy canes on top, or hershey kissess, or a cocoa mix and ofcourse a little note is always the nicest of all. Merry Christmas!

You should put enough in it to make it look full to overflowing. You can "dummy up" the cup by purchasing some shredded paper in festive colors. Other add-ins might include some single serving packets of gourmet hot coco, teas or sample packs of coffees. If you have a store called World Market near you they have tons of these types of things. Don't forget to add a candy cane!

I would simply refer to it as a mug. I've never called a mug a coffee mug.

put some other things in it such as candies, gift card some tissue at the bottom and place them in so the mug looks full.
