Personally, I think you should only let those in who have a gift or food. The rest can stay outside and freeze. Happy Holidays!

Well now I enjoyed your little joke.
No you do not have to be there or provide food or even invite them into your home. If you have already invited them you can paste a sign on your front door telling them exactly how you feel, leave the door unlocked so that they can go inside and party without you. Back to you, I recommend you leave the house before they arrive.
You won't have to worry about finding yourself in this position again.

What? :) yes, of course, you need to have food, lots of nice snacks, and you need to have SOME drinks, not a lot. People should bring their own.
Yes, you need to have them actually IN your house if you want to have a party, try some music too :)
