So my mom has been stressing about dinner lately. So for X-mas I am going to compile a list of menus and grocery lists for various weeks, so all she has to do is cook. I've got a younger brother- very picky, me- vegetarian, and dad who doesn't eat a lot of meat, and really doesn't like processed food. I can use all the help I can get- recipes, menus, or just sugesstions.
Thanx

There must be some difference, as I'm driving my boyfriend to absolute misery going to different stores looking for what appears to be an extinct variety. Please tell me his suffering is not in vain!

I am going to make sugar cookies for Christmas. To give them a touch of lemon taste, can I just add a bit of lemon extract or lemon juice? Also, I want to make some of them red. At what point do I add the food color? Thanks.

i know there's a bunch of different factors, but does anyone know some way to find out? my dad said that 3 sips of smirnoff (0.2% alcohol) would still be detectable hours later. that doesn't sound right to me. would it, in general? or if you know how to find out, i'll give you my statistics.

Ok I'm horrible at cooking. So bad its unbelievable I dont even think its possible! I cant even fry a Dam egg! I put a egg in the microwave I though it would become a hard boiled egg but it EXPLODED! I tryed to make cookies and it tasted like a potatoe chip! What if I get married and have kids I dont want to have accidently have poisoned them! What should I do what a good home making class? I need it seriously!

I'm having a birthday party for my son & wanted to make some of the food before hand. I'm wondering if I make a pasta salad the evening before (late) if it would go soggy by the time of the party (6pm). The recipe says to refrigerate atleast 1 hour to blend flavours.

I'm on the phone with my friend who has old, soggy pasta that they just cooked up. They want to know if there is any creative way to use it and not waste it. Suggestions please?!

I'm making 2 cheesecakes, but I only have one cheesecake pan. Normally, I just take the ring off the sides and leave the cheesecake on the bottom portion of the pan.

But, how can I slid one cheesecake off of the pan without breaking it. I need to make another one and I only have that pan.
