Traditional is always best in my opinion!

Green Bean Casserole
1 (10 3/4 ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
1/4 cup milk
1/8 teaspoon black pepper
2 (14 1/2 ounce) cans cut green beans, drained
1 1/3 cups French-fried onions (French's)
--Combine soup, milk and pepper in a 1 1/2 qt baking dish; stir until blended. Stir in beans and 2/3 cup fried onions. Bake at 350 degrees F for 30 minutes or until hot. Stir. Sprinkle with remaining 2/3 cup fried onions. Bake 5 more minutes or until onions are golden.

But if you want something a little less traditional, try this!

Special Green Bean Casserole
2 teaspoons melted butter
2 teaspoons flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon sugar
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 small grated onion
1 cup sour cream
2 cans French style green beans, drained
1/2 lb swiss cheese, grated
1 cup corn flakes, crushed
--Saute onion in butter. Add flour, salt, sugar and pepper. Mix in sour cream, beans and cheese. Pour into 9x13 baking dish. Top with cornflakes. Bake at 400 degrees for 20 minutes.

Either way, you can't go wrong!

Merry Christmas!
Enjoy!

Green Bean Uncasserole:
2 Packages frozen tiny whole green beans.
1/2 of a 6 oz. can of Cheddar French Fried Onions.
one-half stick of butter. (1/4 cup).
1 teaspoon each salt and tabasco sauce.

Steam beans for six minutes. Place beans in warmed crock pot. Stir fry butter on low for 5 minutes. Add salt and tabasco sauce and sprinkle over the beans. Broil (in the oven) and stir french fried onions for 1 to 2 minutes - watch them every 30 seconds so they don't burn. Add on top of beans and keep it warm with the crock pot.

You usually can't go wrong with using the one on the back of the soup or french fried onions cans - BUT use soy sauce instead of salt and a pinch or two of minced garlic!!! That's my secret and there have never been any leftovers of my casserole.
