Food & Drink - 22 November 2007

Hello, as of about 1 1/2 years ago I really found I love trying different kinds of beer. I finally settled on Samual Adams and have been drinking this exclusively for a while now. (Including the seasonal and different brews). Now I really want to branch out and see what else is out there.

Does anyone have any recommendations for beers that are easy to find at Krogers, Walmart or Meiyer? Most of the really good rated beers I find online are difficult to find. They can be any type of alcoholic beer you can recommend.

Also, yes - I am over 21.

I am looking for the bottle of tequila with the worm in it... nothing too outrageously expensive..my friend has agreed to eat the worm if i buy the tequila...just don't really know where to look or what brand to get.

if not heres my version

try the pumpkin eggnog recipe i have

i use one half gallon size of eggnog from the grocery store, add half a can of pumpkin pie filling from Libby and 1tsp each of Cinnamon and nutmeg. You can also use pumpkin pie spice and just use 1 1/2 tsp of that. Mixx well until the lumps are gone. i top each glass off with whipped cream. its so yummy for the holidays

I use to be on Atkins and lost lots of weight, and I loved being on Atkins it agrees with me. BUT I've turned vegan now coz of what's happening with the animals and all the torture they go through.

Now I am in a pickle, I need a vegan diet that will make me loose weight fast. I am on some medication that makes me put on weight! That's why Atkins was perfect but you can't be on Atkins and vegan!!

Please if you know of a vegan diet do share it with me i am desperate and gaining weight being a vegan.

I'm making a hot-fudge pudding cake:

but I'm only making 4 servings (1/3 of the recipe).
I also put it in a really big, wide mug (it has the capacity of a bowl but its a bit taller and less wide) instead of a 9x9 pan
The cooking time says 45 minutes...should I reduce the time, increase the time, or keep it the same?

I tried a vegetarian diet for awhile but i had to stop because i was low on energy and had problems concentrating. I was afraid it was a protein deficiency. If I drank protein shakes, would that solve any potential protein deficiency problems associated with vegetarianism?

I am assuming that there is no meat in these shakes and i don't care if it has dairy in it.

I bought two frozen pie crusts and apple filling for apple pie. The filling thats already in a can. Ok now I need to know the steps to putting this together. Do I defrost the crusts first? Bake them? I dont know! Please help me A.S.A.P.!!!! thanks!

My husband is not fond of alcohol because he hates the taste, but i'm planning something special for christmas and some alcohol would go along nice with it. i want to get a champagne, but i know nothing about the tastes of champagnes as i've only had it once years ago. I'd like something sweet or fruity or something, without having that strong alcohol taste. i'm not a big fan of alcohol either, but you kinda do need it to get a buzz. I'm looking for something not too expensive, like under 30 bucks. thanks!
