i mean do some people prefer there toast burned to a blackened crisp thats bitter? personnaly i dont soo why must they put that setting on?!?!?

There are many different breads of different thicknesses.
Some people do like their toast 'dark' as well.
But the biggest reason is tolerances;-{ machines age.
So turn it up to burn, then back off a few notches.

some people just like burnt toast , just like some people like their steak over cooked, after all this is a free country!

i dont know why it has the extremly burnt setting but i do like midley burnt toast not black but mildly burnt

Good question, I have no idea, maybe we should glue it to the correct setting, and then smile alot .

It's there for women. We use it when we're mad at our significant other!!!

Now if they would just make a skillet that would automatically burn eggs...hmmmm..
