You don't need to defrost them just prepare and bake as the recipe says or use a recipe of your liking.

APPLE AND SOUR CREAM PIE

1 (1 lb. 9 oz.) can apple pie filling
1 c. sour cream
1 egg, slightly beaten
2 tsp. fresh lemon juice
2 tsp. flour

TOPPING:

1/4 c. brown sugar, sieved
1/4 c. flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 c. butter, softened

Line a 9" pie dish with an unbaked pastry shell and place in refrigerator. Place ingredients for topping in small bowl and toss lightly; set aside.
Place canned apple pie filling in another bowl and the sour cream, egg, lemon juice and 2 teaspoons flour. Stir until well blended and turn into unbaked pie shell. Blend the topping ingredients until well mixed and sprinkle lightly over the top of the filled pie. Place pie in preheated 375 degree oven for 1 hour. Cool on wire rack.

hope this helps. enjoy.

No need to defrost the pie shells. Fill them up with the apples, then top with this....yummy!!

DUTCH APPLE PIE TOPPING

1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. butter (butter) melted and blend with sugar, then add
1 c. flour, blend well

Sprinkle mixture over pie filling instead of top crust and bake as usual.

This is good on blueberry or other fruit pies too.

yes defrost the crusts first and then go from there . poke the pie crust with a fork to make like small dots in the crusts to keep it from puffing up during baking . add the canned apple filling to the pie crusts and then add your top crust and bake . good luck and god bless.
