Other alcohol like liquors like Rum, Scotch, Absinthe, and Beer don't make my stomach churn except red wine? Why would that be?

I realize this is a odd question, but I am pregnant, and ive heard that red wine is actually good for you (not to get drunk off of , but to have maybe half a wine glass). Is this true? If it is, (I dont know squat about wines) is there a red wine out there that is ''fruity''?

I'm tired of buying the same boring foods
meal suggestions for breakfast lunch and dinner would be great.

What do you usually forget to buy at the grocery store and remember half way home?

What are a few must have spices? I have the "usual" ones... about 12-16 containers.

I am a 15-year-old girl. I've been a lacto-ovo vegetarian for about 5 and a half years now, and I've decided that I want to become vegan for ethical reasons. The problem is, I don't really know where to start. My mom, who has been vegetarian for 20+ years and works for the FDA (she knows a lot about food) is worried that I won't get enough nutrients, especially calcium. While she's willing to support me in this transition, she wants me to do my research to make sure I'll be keeping myself healthy and wants me to see a nutritionist before making the full switch to veganism. I consider my choice very serious, as being vegan is not only a way of eating but a way of life. I'd like some feedback from other vegans on how to make the transition, tips on staying healthy, food ideas, book/other reading suggestions, etc...basically any input you can give. Thank you for all your help!

P.S.- non-vegans/vegetarians, please don't criticize me on my decision...this is my personal choice. Thanks!

It came from the fresh fish counter in my local grocery, but obviously it had been frozen after it was boiled. Now it tastes of preservative.

I'm not asking about the red potatoes or white skinned potatoes. My friend and I were debating whether it's alright to eat the skin on one of those large brown russet potatoes. I was always raised to avoid the skin, but just recently my friend told me he eats the skin. I have heard that since they are gown in the ground and the pesticides farmers use sink into the soil; inevitably sinking into the potato's skin, is it worth the risk to eat the entire potato?

My mother in law used to make these cookies that according to my husband and in laws were chocolate with nuts and raisins with a white/clear glaze on them. No one can find the recipe. My mother in law passed away when my husband was 14, almost 17 years ago. My father in law calls them pepper cookies but no one knows if there is actually pepper in them. My husband says they taste like Christmas, pepperminty chocolately, nutty, perfect.
I REALLY need to find this recipe! PLEASE HELP!

If this helps, my mother in law was English, my father in law is Italian. I think the recipe is from his side of the family, not sure. He's from Plains area of PA which I believe has a lot of German. Not sure if that makes a difference or helps at all!
THANKS!!

Tip outs can be 3%

How it that calculated to all the back of the house staff. Chef to dishwasher.

Do you use hours worked and say a larger % to the chef?
