Pretty simple question... I'm considering becoming a vegetarian for health reasons, but I don't understand why people are against eating Eggs and Dairy products. Eggs and Milk/Yogurt/Cheese, etc is literally the fruit of the animal. It’s like being against eating tomatoes because it comes from a bush and your taking from the bush... Harvesting eggs doesn’t kill chickens and milking a cow isn't terminal... I just don't understand it, but I have an open mind so please enlighten me.

Thanks!

It is suggested that soy foods are expensive "Because veggie heads will pay it. Quite simple" (http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AjFgu6orL1AOpuVjFyENH0AjzKIX;_ylv=3?qid=20071003181704AAfwlD6)

But actually, soy milk has become very mainstream, yet the price doesn't come down. Soy milk costs about 2 times as much as cow's milk. Yet soy milk is made from a crop that is a commodity (and soy is used in cattle feed), while regular milk is produced by animals that are higher on the food chain and expensive to take care of.

Is soy milk highly profitable to the companies that produce it?

I was drinking every night half a pint of vodka for the last 10 months, and I am addicted now.

I went to AA, and it inspired me to drink more. I'm now 25, and have a good job as a software programmer.

All the people I met at AA drink 1 bottle daily, and sleep on the street and beat their family, had driving accidents, and basically was drinking for more than 5 years, and they made a whole hell of it.

I couldnt even believe I'm a virgin at drinking, and I dont drive, and I only drint "half a pint" at night to sleep, and get up good in the morning. So AA just gave me the feeling "You are not like them, you are doing well"

But I really want to stop, and AA is no gud for me, and I tried cold turkey... but cannot hold fr more than 1 day. I'd like to know of a solid way to quit alcohol.

Stepping down little by little wont work with me, after a few sips, I forget all my promises and drink the whole damn thing from bottle.

How could I possibly stop this ?

This article about the new book called Last Supper, where chefs tell you what their last supper would be.....

What would yours be?

Mario Batali
The celebrity chef would prepare a meal of eight to 10 courses which would include marinated anchovies served with a little bruschetta; mozzarella en carozza (a Neapolitan-style grilled cheese sandwich); and fresh Amalfitana pasta with shrimp and zucchini.
or
Gary Danko
This final feast, to be eaten by hand like at a Roman or Greek banquet, would comprise the finest foods from around the world, including caviar, spit-roasted suckling pigs, black truffles wrapped in salt pork and a roasted Bleu Bresse chicken.
or
Scott Conant
A last meal for Conant would include fried chicken served with sweet corn; spit-roasted goat; a whole fish cooked in lobster broth with baby tomatoes and fresh basil; Neapolitan Gatto (a mashed potato dish); and white truffles

I warming up a can of corn at dinner (not creamed corn) to have with chicken and cheesey mashed potatos. Is there any seasonings or something I can add to it to give it a lil kick? Nothing sweet or creamy, I hate creamed corn lol

I was thinking just adding maybe a 1/4th a stick of butter and seasoning salt while its warming??

Thanks!

Hello Yahoo. How are you doing? I had a nice Halloween,
hope you did, too. Now it is time for some action.
The holiday season is here, officially. Yes, the Christmas
decorations are already up around here. But there is a
certain ritual, I like to do around this time. It is called
eating !! I am gonna have fried turkey this Thanksgiving,
made by yours truly. Along with stuffing, gravy, rice,
macaroni n cheese, biscuit, sweet peas, etc. But I heard
that some of you prefer ham, on that day. Baked ham
is great, cured with honey and vinegar. Or at least that is
what they tell me. So what is better ? Turkey or ham ?
I like both, but that turkey is nothing to play with. Best
answer wins.
