This article about the new book called Last Supper, where chefs tell you what their last supper would be.....
What would yours be?
Mario Batali
The celebrity chef would prepare a meal of eight to 10 courses which would include marinated anchovies served with a little bruschetta; mozzarella en carozza (a Neapolitan-style grilled cheese sandwich); and fresh Amalfitana pasta with shrimp and zucchini.
or
Gary Danko
This final feast, to be eaten by hand like at a Roman or Greek banquet, would comprise the finest foods from around the world, including caviar, spit-roasted suckling pigs, black truffles wrapped in salt pork and a roasted Bleu Bresse chicken.
or
Scott Conant
A last meal for Conant would include fried chicken served with sweet corn; spit-roasted goat; a whole fish cooked in lobster broth with baby tomatoes and fresh basil; Neapolitan Gatto (a mashed potato dish); and white truffles

OK, so, I'll try to be as gentle as possible. Here are the 12 disciples first : Eric Clapton John Lennon Jimmy Page Bob Dylan Pete Townshend Joe Perry Rory Gallagher George Harrison Steve Morse Freddie Mercury Saul Hudson (Slash) Ritchie Blackmore And the middle-man is... tataratarataratataaaaaa: Jimi Hendrix! Oh, and also, the painter of the painting won't be me. It would be Keith Richards, because the disciples are only 12...

My subscription to Time magazine ended a few months ago but I read the article at the place that cuts my hair. I like the multi course plan. A large t-bone cut, medium rare with a small baked potato would be first. A home made Salisbury steak with with thick brown gravy and a bowl of small whole kernel corn and biscuits is next. I would then come up with a chocolate covered vanilla ice cream dish for desert. A crisp cold coke on ice to go with it all.
It sounds like two meals but the meats don't work together.

Great Question! It really wouldn't matter if it was a nice rotisserie Smoked Prime Rib with twice baked Potato's, Green Bean Almondine, what really would matter was something that all the others never mentioned, "First Course" would be DESSERT, Banana's Foster, Decadent Molten Lava Cake with double Vanilla Bean Ice Cream. Well that's my answer and maybe the menu for tonite. Enjoy

Just a dessert, so I would go for the baked alaska.
Let me explain. My wife was in the hospital in the ICU. One of the patients declined his dinner, but had dessert, and some time later passed away.
One of the nurse's comments was "He had his cake and then he died."
You can carry one about the finest Tibetian Goat cheese or a steer raised in the verdent valley of brazil, in the upper reaches ofthe amazon when the pollution of humanity has not befouled the tenderness of the meat of this clover-fed bull.
It's just you want to have that which is really important to you, so if you feel that "headless and tailless shrimp" is what you're after, go for it.
As I mentioned, I am a person of simple tastes, so stewed escargot in a bearnaise sauce is lost on me

I wouldn't have any of those. I'd have a lasagna with lots of cheese, meat and veggies. After that, I'd have a home made potato salad and to finish my meal, I would have a cheesecake with ice cream on the side. All that will surely kill me for reasons I won't say, but I figured if I am gonna die, I might as well die stuffed and happy lol. Goodnight!

If I was going to get the electric hair I'd have pop-corn. Pounds and pounds of unpoped popcorn. Throw the switch I'd go up like the worlds largest JiffyPop.
