Hello Yahoo. How are you doing? I had a nice Halloween,
hope you did, too. Now it is time for some action.
The holiday season is here, officially. Yes, the Christmas
decorations are already up around here. But there is a
certain ritual, I like to do around this time. It is called
eating !! I am gonna have fried turkey this Thanksgiving,
made by yours truly. Along with stuffing, gravy, rice,
macaroni n cheese, biscuit, sweet peas, etc. But I heard
that some of you prefer ham, on that day. Baked ham
is great, cured with honey and vinegar. Or at least that is
what they tell me. So what is better ? Turkey or ham ?
I like both, but that turkey is nothing to play with. Best
answer wins.

I know you Euro's love ham. Especially
the British, they might even slap you
with a piece. LOL. But us Americans
love our turkey, baked or fried.
Or even better, BUTTERBALLED !

You can fry turkey wings and legs,
the same way you fry chicken.
And it only takes about 30 minutes.
Right there in your kitchen, no worries.

I've never had fried turkey, although I've heard it's really good. Traditionally we usually have a roasted turkey AND a honey baked ham...skip the rice and throw in the yams. Kill the peas and throw in the greens and some cornbread and we've got dinner!
Best answer wins? We only get two choices...lol...how can you choose a winner if our answers are based on preference?

Turkey for Thanksgiving, Ham for Christmas. I love Thanksgiving dinner. Have you ever fried turkey before? Be careful. People have burned houses and/or garages down doing that inproperly. Anyways, our Thanksgiving meal consists of turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes and gravy, sweet potatoes, corn, green bean casserole, cranberry sauce, lots of desserts, deviled eggs, hmm... I think that is all. Oh and wine! Happy Holidays

I have always liked Turkey on thanksgiving because it is tradition in my family and I love tradition! Thanksgiving is the only holiday we have turkey and for Christmas its ham, Easter is ham, Halloween-candy, so I love it plus I'm not so sure how gravy would taste on ham and I gotta have the gravy!

We love both, and we're both born and bred in the US. But we always have turkey for T-day, and a huge ham for Christmas. The leftovers are so great to freeze, either one. And of course, Hoppin' John on New Year's. :)

The highlight of my christmas will be me ma's ham. Boiled then oven roasted coated in honey and mustard. Nothing beats bread cut so thick your jaw aches biting into it with slabs of ham in the middle that just dissolve in the mouth, leaving behind a tangy sweet after taste.
Yum....

Nothing beats fried turkey. First time I tasted a roasted one I was in my 20's. I'm now 50 and why would anyone want a dried out piece of bird breast when a succulent moist fried bird breast is available, and it doesn't take all day to cook.
