NoT MEANING this as a rude thing! i really would just like to know your reason why..

ok:

If you are a vegetarian, what are your reasons why you eat stuff that tastes like real meat? You know what i mean..?

Here are my reasons;
1. To help stop craving meat
2. Just another good thing to eat
3. You dont like the animals being hurt, but you like meat, so you eat not-real-meat.

those are my reasons. What are yours?

I asked this question because I was curious, not to be rude.. so if you get the idea im trying to be rude, just tell me.. please.. sorry..

thanks so much!

Theres so much choice. I cant afford to buy much, and I can't carry much home, so I end up getting bad combinations of things & not what I readlly need. Shopping is too much for me. So is eating.

Perhaps this is a strange question, but I was just curious. I'm American, and I've heard that even though there's the traditional British fare like bangers and mash, shepherd's pie, steak and kidney pie, and the like, Indian food is also really popular in the UK. Also, I've noticed that whenever I come across cookbooks that are written by British authors, the recipes normally have Asian, French, American, or Spanish influences.

My friends and i have about 20 people (a few of them boys that are not exactly friends, more like guys our guy friends know we are trying to impress) coming to my house for a party where you must wear a mask and formal attire. We have a very low budget (like, dollar store is good!), but want to transform my house into an old 'castle', with a color scheme of silver, gold, and jewel tone. The problem is, I have limited space in my basement, where it will maily be, and we are also using my small kitchen and (if my mom allows us) the back deck(this can fit about 5 dancing couples at a time). Any ideas? I've got some, but i need a VERY cheap way to make it look like a castle.
p.s. any ideas for cheap finger food/elegant snacks?

I married into a family of wine drinkers. I however know nothing about wine. I would like to start drinking wine. I need to know what is a good wine to start with (having not drank wine before).

Also, if I were to bring a bottle of wine to a dinner party, what is a good one to bring (not knowing what is being served)?

Thanks in advance

Do you think most people would stop eating meat and we could finally create the uptopia I have been talking about? Most people are lazy and do not like to cook. So I think we need to start with the resturant industry first. Who agrees?
