I heard that some fundamentalists Christian college students bring out the Dr. Pepper when it is time to P-A-R-T-Y! Woo-woo.

What type of wine goes well with lasagna? Preferrably something fairly inexpensive that I can find in any grocery store.

Also, what about NEHI (grape, blue creme, peach, etc.) Or Ale 8, or .........well so many others that slip my mind at the moment. What happened to them? I grew up with them in South Florida, and I miss them. Can you name some of your old time favorites?

from cookbooks? tv? watching a parent or someone else?
and how long did it take you to feel like you "knew" how to cook?
i'm sort of wading through cookbooks and random internet recipes and trying to figure out if it's always going to be this frustrating and take this long... thanks :)

Fiesta Turkey Bake

12 oz Whole grain rotini noodles
1 can reduced fat cream of chicken soup
1/2 cup milk
1.5 cups mexican style shredded cheese
.5 lb diced turkey
1 can mexican style corn with bell peppers, drained

basically, you cook the pasta, then combine the soup, milk, half of the cheese, corn, and pasta. Place in a lightly greased pan, cover with the rest of the cheese, and bake in a 375 degree oven for about 25 minutes.

I tried this recipe tonight and it was okay, but it didn't have a whole lot of flavor. I thought about adding some crushed tortilla chips to the top (underneath the layer of cheese). Any suggestions on what else I can add to give it a little more flavor (without making it spicy because my 16 month old son needs to be able to eat it as well.)

Thanks to all who answer!
