I was at a very special tasting a few years ago where we didn't taste different wines, we tasted the same wine from different years from an Italian Borolo producer - from the same fields!
The most recent vintage was bold and strong.
Ten years later the wine was richer and more mature.
At twenty years it was elegant and fine. For this wine, at it's best. A little sediment
Thirty years, although elegant was a little thin and had more sediment, the color was much lighter but great!
Yes, the taste of wine changes every year!

absolutely wine can change from year to year. I am a devout fan of silverado sangiovese from napa valley. I buy it by the case because I love it so much. Although this past summer, when I tasted the new 2004 vintage it just seemed different from the 2003. I tried their next sangiovese up in price and I liked it way better that year for some reason. Not that the one I normally buy wasn't good, just not the same.

it can change with weather, growing conditions, etc.

Yes. Every year, vineyards make batches of wine, age them and bottle. Although the wine is very similar from year to year, they aren't exactly alike. Also, if you properly store a bottle of descent wine, it will typically improve with age. We have a saying in the diesel industry...If you polish a turd, you get a shiny turd. If you start with a poor quality wine, you will end with a poor quality wine. Cheers!

Yes, even from the same vintner.

Too many variables: rainfall, weather conditions, pollution in the air, plants being stressed, winemakers skill, early or late harvest
