Differences in protein molecular weights can have much the same effect on cereal sogginess. The larger the protein molecule in the cereal, the longer the cereal can technically stay crunchy in milk. Manufacturers can create different-sized protein molecules by using the enzyme transglutaminase, which causes protein agglomeration.

It's the moisture that causes cereal to get soggy. If you leave an open box of cereal, it will get soggy from the humidity in the air.

If you want to get it soggy the fastest, then add moisture (lots of milk) and heat (zap it in the microwave).

It is because of osmosis. The cereal has no moisture content, until it reaches the milk poured onto it. Over time, osmosis causes the milk to travel into the cereal. Thus making the cereal's moisture content high and soggy.

Hope I helped!

I would suggest doing experiments with milk, water, soda, and fruit juice. Then keep them in it for an allotted time, and see what is soggier.

Sitting in milk too long. Cereals are porous. The degree of porosity determines how much milk the cereal will soak up. The more porous the faster it will soak up milk and the quicker it will become soggy. Hope this helps!

It is because the milk gets into the cereal and it gets it all soggy

the things that made the cereal to get soggy is the density of the cereal which is less than the one in the milk.........it's also have billions of atoms which helps its move around more quicklier

Baby drool.

When you let the baby eat the cereal right out of the box.
Then you go to make your self a bowl of cereal and some of the cereal is soggy.

I found out, it's baby drool.

it sounds really silly, but you're not the first to wonder about this: A study of the effects of water content on the compaction behavior of breakfast cereal flake

it's a physics thing. i'm not into physics so much.
