1. Do you feed your children ready meals, frozen meals, chill/cook meals or TV dinners? Sometimes. 1a. If yes, how often and why? Once a month, maybe, when I don't have time to cook. 2. What kind of meals do your children eat? Meat, veggies, potatoes or rice, sometimes gravy, bread, salad, dessert once in awhile. Plain old good home cooking. 3. What kind of meals do you eat? The kids and I eat the same meals. 4. Would you be more likely to feed your child ready meals if they had better nutritional value? I don't think so. Ready meals just don't taste as good as home cooked food.

Barbecued Tempeh Sandwiches...

It's a lot like sloppy joes, but sooo much better for you! I love tempeh because of its nutritional value and great texture (I'm vegan). Just crumble up the tempeh, simmer in large pan with a little oil, then add barbecue sauce and cook down some of the liquid. Serve on your favorite sandwich bun.

I like cooking things that take a lot of time, effort, ingredients ,prep , technique and tools. Ones that fill the house with awesome aroma. Because it's so rare that anyone will expend the effort to do so. It's SPECIAL.

I like to make pretty much everything. I've got some of my own recipes as well as oldies that I've updated. I love to make homemade dressings and have a killer raspberry viniagrette and another lemon dressing. Lasagna and stuffed shells, shrimp pasta, bruschetta, homemade fajitas with fresh salsa, Chicken noodle soup with homemade noodles, baked trout with tomatoes, onions, garlic, white wine and lemon juice, and I could go on and on. I can even make my own tortillas :) Fresh food is my favorite because I can have fun with it and throw my own twists in and I feel good about feeding it to my family.

a huge pot of chicken soup or chili.
I hate cooking, so making something in large quantities cuts down on the number of times I have to do it.
