I know a lot of people out there complain about vegetarians & how stuck-up & dumb they thinnnk they are. A lot of people feel that animals are on this Earth to serve us.

I love animals & I'm a total vegetarian treehugger hippie animalloven peacefreak activist! When ever I tell someone I'm a vegetarian they start acting like I'm crazy or stupid!

What's so wrong abooout caring for animals, I mean face it if ur teacher brought a dead pig to school & made fun of him, if uv been 2 a slaughter house, & if u witnessed a bird just whisteling then suddenly a car ran over him & died & if u saw a dead squirrel in ur lake wouldent u hav trouble eating an animal 2?

Don't know much about Thai food. All I have heard is it's noodly, ricey, basically Chinese food with heat and spice. Have researched a place that gets good reviews from locals but have no idea what the best "starter" food would be that just about any decent Thai place should have? Pad Thai? They have no online menu (nor website) so I'm clueless.

I could just wander in and say 'what's your best seller?' and get served a plate of phrik khii nuu or mang dah (giant fried waterbugs) while the cooks get lots of lol's. As much fun as that FearFactor dining would be I'd like to get some ideas of traditional faves from the western palet?
Thanks.

I'm having a party Sunday and I plan on making side dishes and a salad and some dessert too but I plan to grill some chicken but I have no clue as to how much I need to buy. Is it a pound of chicken per person or half a pound per person? I can't remember!

I work a lot and my husband usually cooks - he a hardcore carnivore and finds it difficult to cook for me. When I wasn't working and he was - I usually would make some meat dish for him a couple of times a week or take him out - but I knew what I was doing.

He's not that good of a cook anyway - but he tries ;)

So what are some good recipes I can give to him to try?

Notes:
He doesn't like cooking tofu, but will if it is simple
Looking for recipes for either grill or crock pot - it's too hot to use the oven!
