I would like to be brave this year and get to know my neighbors in my cul-de-sac (about 10 house) and thought it would be fun to do a cookout this summer. Like getting some tables and a tent and setting them up in the middle of the cul-de-sac. What are some good ideas? I really am clueless.

It would be helpful to me and possibly many others if, when posting a question, you state where you are. Since most of us don't live close to you (in your country or state).
I love reading Q&A, and have learned alot. However, some answers don't seem to correspond with the question, as location has been omitted.

When they clearly know nothing about the subject? I often see people who are CLEARLY uninformed about things that contain animal products answering questions as if they were an expert on the topic. I do not respond to questions about how to cook meat, so why would someone want to make a fool out of themselves by answering a question incorrectly? So many are uninformed about things like gelatine (jello), marshmellows, pop tarts, doritos snacks, and other things that contain products from slaughtered animals. Those that have done their homework know the truth about these things. Just wondering why some do this? I know squat about car repairs, and therefore I avoid the automotive section. Thoughts?

Not everyone will be drinking wine, as there will be children attending. As well as other drinks at a tended bar. We are planning on using boxed wines, probally a red , and white. Which wines are most popular.

Hi. I'm 15 years old, and I have been a complete vegetarian since I was 10 (no meat, poultry, gelatin, and other by-products). Two years ago I decided to become a vegan, but my doctor told my parents that I was too young, so they didn't let me. As a strong animal rights activist, I feel like a hypocrite eating dairy products, since I'm aware of the extreme abuse of dairy-producing animals on factory farms. I've decided to become a vegan again, but I was looking at a list of what they can't eat, and it's overwhelming! What can I eat as a substitute for cheese, milk, eggs, etc.?
