I totally agree with you!
I live in Illinois, My mom lives in Arizona. She'll call and tell me about how she and a friend went to 'Jack-in-the-box' or 'In-N-Out' and that it was so great and how much it made her miss me and the kids because she knows how much I love Jack-in-the-box and In-n-N-Out. Then she'll tell me what she got and what her friend got(whom I don't even know!Right!?) So...yes she is a Meany!lol
After all since you are 15 it is okay to feel upset. Actually since you are 15 you are supposed to have feelings that adults might think are over the top. Not one of us who have read your story didn't feel the same about something or another when they were 15. So, don't be bothered be what they say. Some of the questions I have read written by grown-ups have seemed pretty immature.
And I am a grown up with a 14year old daughter and if I just go into town and eat lunch at the same burger joint she went to last night, and she sees the coke cup, she flies off the handle. Saying I am teasing her because she had to eat the schools food for lunch.
Honey your feelings are normal. Don't let these fools bring you down.
And here it comes.......How many thumbs down can I person give me anyways. Go ahead lets see them!
LOL

Wasn't she trying to be nice by bringing you whatever she could...since she couldn't bring the actual food?
I can't imagine she was trying to tease you (in a fun way maybe).
I definitely think it's totally wrong of you to get mad at her for thinking of you while she was in California, but I understand why it might have made you mad at first. Remember--she was thinking of YOU when she was at the restaurant, knowing how much you like it, so she brought you back some souveniers.

I don't know the reason why your mom brought the wrappers, etc. home. Did you ask her? Was she trying to tease you or was she thinking of you and your desires and wanted you to have a "momento" of your favorite fast food restaurant?
Texas has many fast food restaurants that are just as good as In-Out
Sonics, for example.
In addition to not providing healthier menu options such as salads and juice, the In-N-Out menu does not include smaller serving size options that other fast food restaurants typically offer. For example, the McDonald's small french fry serving contains 209 calories, 13 grams of fat, 2 grams of saturated fat, and 3.5 grams of trans fat. Conversely, In-N-Out offers a one size only french fry serving that has nearly double the amount of calories at 400, with 18 grams of fat, 5 grams of saturated fat, however includes no trans fat.[29][30]
For years In-N-Out has not listed the amounts of trans fat in their food; however, the company's website now shows trans-fat for all of their food.[31]
One reason In-N-Out has not expanded rapidly is freshness has limited the restaurant's expansion to California, Nevada, and Arizona.
In-N-Out focuses on providing a basic menu with few changes since the restaurant was established in 1948. The simple menu consists of the following:
Hamburger
Cheeseburger
"Double-Double" - a double cheeseburger (two slices of cheese and two meat patties
French fries (one size only)
Milk shakes - chocolate, strawberry, and vanilla, Root Beer Float
Drinks - Coke, Diet Coke, 7 Up, Barq's root beer, Dr Pepper, lemonade, iced tea, milk, and coffee.

I feel your pain. I, too, LOVE in-and-out burger. And no, you are not wrong for getting mad when you're mother thought it a great idea to bring you empty wrappers. Your mother should know better. Didn't she think it a bit childish to bring wrappers halfway across the country to say, "Na na na na na"?

And, how old did you say you were? 12? 13? Sounds like it.
Jeez, she is your mom for cryin out loud, don't be so angry with her.
Let it go, it aint worth it, even if she did it on purpose or she didn't try it, honor thy mother and thy father, Amen.
Sometimes my mom drives my sisters and I crazy, we're 38, 42 & 46. I know I drive my kids crazy sometimes too. (they are 20 & 21 & boys). Try and let it go, ok.

sometimes folks who have had privileges to certain things that others have not - tend to giggle at the fact that the other person is so unfamiliar.....however am sure it was not meant to hurt your feelings......just did not take into consideration that you have not been familiar with ......
try to learn from all things and not have a chip on your shoulder - just take things in stride
