You can serve them with boiled cabbage and polish sausage. Having picky eaters, I tend to serve them with either green beans, peas, or lima beans and hot french bread or garlic bread and a nice green salad or ceaser salad.

I also like to have several topping options such as sour cream, apple sauce, marinara, alfredo, or salsa available to the kids. They like the idea of topping them.

I also like using them as a side dish when I serve pork chops or boneless chicken breasts.

One of my favorite ways to serve them is in a mexican pierogis casserole...I boil the perogies then I use them to line the bottom of a pyrex dish. I melt half a stick of butter in a sauce pan and saute one chopped onion until it is tender. The onion mixture goes over the pierogies. Then I open and drain a can of chicken breast meat and spread that over the onions. Next, I pour mild enchilada sauce over the top and cover it with cheese. Bake it on 350 for about 15 minutes and it is ready to serve!

I like to serve them with homemade meatloaf ( you can even sneak a little spinach in the mix if you like), baby green peas & fresh garlic rolls......

Neither are my kids. We serve whatever we would have with pasta or a potato dish. Whatever kind of veggie they like will work, or even a nice salad. As picky as my kids are sometimes we pair them with fruit. I don't worry about trying to be "authentic".
