So I was thinking about becoming a vegetarian, after watching the documentary Kentucky Fried Cruelty and some other things on Tv and peta.com. I have come to realize how bad people treat animals and its not exactly all right to always eat them but I do love meat. So how could I get where I can stop eating meat and be pro-animals?

Do you like it when somebody pops your bubble gum bubble that you are blowing? Is it cute or gross? And isn't it funny to let the bubble get as big as their head and then pop it on them?

I learned decades ago that by far the best wines (generally speaking) for matching spicy Oriental cuisines are bone dry roses; maybe a white sauvignon blanc as backup (especially with sushi), but never a gewurztraminer, which has its floweryness that so clashes with most oriental dishes, notwithstanding that such floweryness is called "spicyness.". Why was it that it has taken Americans so long to learn this?.

I am so tired, when in the States, to go to a reputed Thai or Szechuan or Singaporese or Korean restaurant only to find it has no dry rose on its wine list.

(Thank goodness I live in Montreal where they know better!)

To me it looks like they use ground chicken (like hamburger) and water chestnuts with a brown sauce that is not creamy but does have some kick to it, maybe ginger. You spread this chicken stuff on a lettuce leaf (like a taco) and put some white rice type noodles on top(these noodles look like they are made of cellophane or styrofoam. Then you wrap it up and eat it.

Two questions really. What qualifies something to be gourmet and what is your definition of gourmet? I was just wondering because I personally don't think that Publix brand popcorn is gourmet, as they claim, nor this run down looking chocolate shop I pass almost everday in town.
