Every time I buy a packet of sugar free chewing gum these days, it's in pellet form, rather than stick form. I prefer the sticks because when finished one could put them inside the foil wrappers, avoiding getting them stuck to things. Also, the taste seemed to last longer, and the texture was better. Anyone know why gum in stick form no longer exists?

I live in the UK, but was born in Louisiana. When I go back there, there is a small shack which sells fabulous tamales! In the middle is a sort of meat mush that is absolutely delicious.

However, all the tamale recipes I've found on the Internet uses shredded pork. I have made these but don't find them as good.

Anyone have a good recipe that replicates this meat mush?

They're also bathed in a spicy red sauce.

i would like to know what cut of beef the restaurants use to make fajitas. it is always tender and not fatty or gristly.

also, do they marinate it (if so with what) and do they cook it in a
skillet or on a grill over an open flame.

I made cranberry/white choc/oatmeal cookies and have a big bag (400 grams) of oatmeal left over. Has anyone got any recipes of what I could do with this? Cookies, puddings, main meals... I'd appreciate anything you have.

I'm looking for a good, fairly simple cake recipe to prepare for a birthday that is coming up this week. Preferably chocolate, but any kind of cake will do. Just no carrot cake or banana flavor cake or whatnot, please. Also, I'd like to avoid using shortening if possible. I only have a 9x13 pan, but I could possibly get an 8x8 if necessary. So a recipe that yields in one of those two, please! Thank you soo much!

I grind my coffee beans just before brewing, to a fine powder. I use the drip method, with hot water poured over the coffee in a filter in a cone. When I take the cone off the pot after brewing and set it aside, some of the cooling grounds reconstitute themselves into beans again, complete with ridge.

What kind of molecular magic is happening here?
