A) He starts wearing strange colors and hanging around other undesireable seafoods.
B) You see his picture on the post office wall, and not at the fish counter.
C) He becomes a little stinker! Your nose will tell you. If the shrimp has what you think is an odor, instead of a fresh smell, it's time to discard it. This applies whether the shrimp is raw or has been cooked. Do not pass go, do not collect another seafood dinner. Simply take a pass and do not take a chance.

Smell it. If it has a fishy smell, it is not fresh. Truly fresh shrimp have no odor.

Always remember:
If in doubt, Throw it out!
I personally wont eat anything such as fish if it's been in my fridge for more then 5 days. If it's been frozen then don't worry.
Good Luck,
Shannon
